Honeybee Hive - Needing Removal

Post by RaeAlton »

Hello all! This email was sent out to my neighborhood Listserv, and since honeybee populations are disturbingly low, I thought I'd ask here for a recommendation or to see if anyone in particular is interested in removing/claiming this hive. Here is the email below:

"I have another honey bee hive that has taken up living in one of my properties and not paying their fair share of "rent". I know somebody is going to suggest "bartering", but cash is king! With that said, are there anyone you know who would like to come and capture the Queen and remove the hive? I hate to kill the bees, but I have enough "freeloaders" now."

Should I share his email address here or pass along the info? Any help or guidance you can offer is much appreciated. Thanks!

I would be happy to talk to the unhappy landlord and see what the situation is. My cell phone number is 336-740-1703. Rob Jacobs

I had good conversations with the landlord and he was able to e mail me photographs of his deadbeat tenants. They are yellow jackets. As the temperatures cool, nature should take care of the eviction process.
