looking for queens

Post by sprayburn »

Just purchased a couple of nucs that arrived with no queen and no brood. Looking for a couple of queens to try and save the bees that are there. Any ideas? Give us a call if you have a supplier...336-908-2856

John at Triad has a package delivery scheduled for 4/9. You may want to call and see if he going to have any queens. Keith at Beez Needz is bringing in packages on 4/11. Same suggestion about the call. We have both linked to the homepage with contact numbers, etc.

If you have another hive, you can put a frame of eggs, larvae and nurse bees in each nuc to keep things going until you can get a queen or they make one from the larvae.

Have you contacted the nuc producer to see if they will make it good?

Contact George Page in Kernersville.

He gets extra queens with all his packages and most likely has some.

If your nucs came queenless you should go back to the supplier and get them to make it right.
