Queen Marking Tool

Post by Jacobs »

I picked up this all metal queen marking tool at the NCSBA meeting in Hickory for about $7.00. I tried it today, and so far I like it. You place it over the queen on the frame where you found her. When her thorax gets to a square where the marker will reach you give it a light touch. I got a small mark on my queen and she behaved as if she did not know that anything had happened. It has been a few years since I sliced and diced a queen using my marking tube, but you always run that risk, and the queen always seems disturbed by being pinned in the tube and marked. I'm sure there are drawbacks, and if I run across them I will post.
