Swarm 3/29/2019 -- mine

Post by DuaneB »

So I just witnessed one of my hive swarm away. They have settled at the top of a 40 foot tall Green Giant tree. I put out a nuc with 5 drawn frames and sprayed Swarm commander on the front of it. Anything else I can do to entice them to go to my box on the ground???

Thanks

Got a look at them, through binoculars. They are about 2 feet wide and about a 12-15 inches deep. Nothing I can do bout it. Bummer. Looks to about 4 lbs of bees.

Well, I watched them move on. Couldn't convince them to settle in to the swarm bait box I put out for them. Someone just got some free bees.

Life goes on. . .
