I "helped" reedyfork with his swarm yesterday, but given the length of time it took & the heat, between vacuuming and my swarm bucket, I think the bees were hitting a critical heat level and as soon as I got ready to hive them up, they took off. While helping him, I got a call from Oak Ridge and gave the folks 3 or 4 names and numbers off our swarm list, but no one was available, so I rode out and got this--

On the way home with the Oak Ridge swarm, I got a call to come and get this one near the Bog Garden.

Maybe the next couple of cool days will give us a slight break.

Major props to Rob for attempting to capture my swarm on Friday! My bees made it a challenge by congregating in the top middle of a holly tree, which made it REALLY challenging to try and vacuum. These other two swarm pics look like a dream scenario for him after leaving my house...
