Is this what I think it is?

Post by Wally's Angels »

Taeler writing this time :D Hi everyone! We just got our bees Wednesday..... me and Caleb are so excited!!! We just can't wait to get into the hives again. Since we can't go into them yet we go back to the lot just to see what the bees are doing.

Yesterday morning we went out there and we noticed that it seemed like ALL of the bees were in the air above Caleb's hive kind of circling around. At first I just thought maybe they were really busy getting used to their new home but then I remembered that when we looked in the hive at Wally's there was lots and lots of capped brood cells in there. Me and Caleb think that maybe they came out for their first flight .... It was AWESOME to see all of them flying around over their hive like that. It almost looked like they were dancing. Now they are back to normal, we are getting ready to go outside and see what they are doing now.

Hope everyone has a great day with their bees :D

Bee's Flying

It sounds like bees orienting to the new location, as well as bees that have graduated from house bee status, getting oriented as well.

good luck with the bees.

That is what they did the first couple of days we brought our home. That is really neat. Wally, tell them what happens at 10 and 2. I can't remember exactly what it was.
