I have a hive that is fairly strong but not really filling up two hive bodies. would it be better to take them down to one hive body? or combine them with another hive? i have also heard that nucs can sometimes over winter better than full hive bodies any thoughts on that?

How many empty frames? If 10 or more, remove a box. If not, leave as is.
