What have you done lately?

Post by ski »

Had a few opportunities to gather some public credits the last month or so. Since I hit the 60 year marker I am slowing down a lot and just doing events I think may be fun.

Participated in the first Honey Day at the Company Shops market in Burlington it was organized by a few beekeepers and not an Alamance County Beekeepers event. Took an empty hive with some drawn comb, extractor, pictures, tools etc.

Preserving Our Heritage Festival was fun it was an Alamance County event and fell on the day of hurricane Irene.

Visited with the folks at Woodland Place Assisted living with a one frame OB hive and some tools and gadgets and posters. This has become an annual event for me.
Just some thoughts.

This is usually a quiet period for me. Most of my school presentations are in early Spring, but tomorrow I will be doing an annual bee presentation for a friend's class at Lindley Elementary in Greensboro.
