A nice big swarm ....

Up about 12 feet off the ground in a big oak tree, in a bad neighborhood

or not.......

Nice Medium size open hive...... 8 frames of comb.....lots of brood , but little in way of stores

Decided to go with a Med Super in the end.... and yes we decided to suit up as I took a sting early on while prepping on the ground

Cutting away piece by piece

Filled 8 1/2 frames in a medium super in the end, all the empty comb we cut away

The remnants , sprayed with B Quik to help them choose a new home

and yes we did find the queen towards the end and managed to get her into a clip

safely in her new home

Thanks to Rob who came out early on Saturday morning, only a few stings mostly of my own making, like gripping comb and squishing a bee etc etc
