Any idea

Maybe you are looking for something specific or maybe you just have some beekeeping supplies you no longer need. Post it here and see what happens.

Any idea

Post by SueBee »

Hi there,
I am new to this forum. I have been thinking about getting a hive of bees but have not done so yet. As I was looking over my garden today and thought of any idea and wondered if anyone does this. I was thinking, I'd like to rent a bee hive. I would supply a spot for a hive, let the owner care for them except supply water, maybe get a small part of the honey and I would get the benefit of the bees pollenating my garden. I have many bumble bees around but have seen few honeybees. I have noticed that have yet to have a pumpkin, gourd or winter squash start developing. I am not sure if it is the weather or lack of pollination.

If anyone is interested in this idea please send me a message. I live in Summerfield.

Brandon Lucas, 336-953-6725, rented a couple out last year. I don't know if he's doing it this year or not. Give him a call.
