Advance Registration for the Summer Meeting in Hickory is now open. If you have never attended a summer meeting, you are missing out on a great opportunity to shop with different vendors, attend various workshops, listen to some great presentations. Above all, you miss the opportunity to meet and fellowship with other beekeepers from across NC and beyond.
NCSBA recognizes individuals for meritorious service to the NCSBA with the following awards:
*McIver-Hass Lifetime Achievement Award
*Person of the Year
*Cooperative Extension Worker of the Year
The NCSBA also acknowledges chapters that have made significant accomplishments in support of North Carolina beekeeping over the past year with the Golden Achievement Program. One NCSBA Chapter will be awarded the title of ‘Golden Achievement Chapter of the Year’. Guilford County Beekeepers Association submitted an entry for the Golden Achievement Program this year. Come join us to represent our association at the Summer Meeting.
Two contests are held yearly at the Summer Conference:
*Cooking with Honey
*Honey Competition (that includes Honey, Beeswax, Mead, and *Photography categories)
If you have never entered a contest in a county or state fair, this is a good opportunity to get your "feet wet" in preparing entries for competition.
Announcement of the Golden Achievement Chapter of the Year and Awards will be given out at the NCSBA Awards Banquet and Dinner held on Friday night, starting at 6:30.
