Sugar syrup avalable

Came across this information and thought it might be helpful for the upcoming season.

Syrup is available from: Atlantic Sweetener, Fort Mill, S C , the contact is Scott Wohlfarth, phone (803)548-3877.

(pick-up is the same place in Charlotte as before)

I spoke with Scott and this what is available:

Both Cane syrup and corn syrup (from different pick-up points in Charlotte)

Cane syrup costs: $ .23/ lb (about 11.5 lbs per gal) = $ 2.65/gal

(HFCS55)Corn syrup costs: $ .16/lb (about 10.7 lbs per gal) = $ 1.70/gal
(NO sales tax on wholesale)

Procedure: Call Scott the day before to arrange for the pick-up (8:30a to 5:00p, M – F)

Specify which syrup you need/want and about how much.

Must sign a wavier that states: *To be used for Bees only, not for human consumption.

Can pay by cash or check,

Container or tank requires a large opening for filling. (at least 4 inch top opening desired)
