bees on my porch

I just got two new nucs wed. and since then the bees have been inside the hive duw to weather. but today when i went outside they were all over my porch which is just a concrete slab. i would say there were about 30 or so at any given time, but they werent really anywhere else in the yard. it kinda looked like they were getting water from the puddles. but i put a saucer of water right by the hives and they werent drinking that at all. any ideas why they are attracted to the concrete? or were they just exploring since it was their real first day out of the hive?

Minerals in the concrete leeching into the water, would be my guess.
