Re-Waxing Frames

Post by Ron Young »

I had one frame that blew out on extraction. I cleaned it up, and re-waxed it. I had one more that has a baseball sized hole in it that fell out while the bees were cleaning it up. One more was chewed up during clean up to the point that there are small holes all the way through in an area about the size of a golf ball.

Question,

1. Should I clean and re-wax any frame that has lost the integrity of the comb?

They will repair it. Even the large hole.
