Plants Budding

Post by Jacobs »

I see that my blackberry and blueberry plants are starting to bud and a scraggly bush of some kind has put out a few very small white daisy like blossoms. O.K. plant experts, is this normal for this time of year or are my plants headed for disaster at the next freeze? I have only begun paying attention to stuff like this since I have gotten bees, so I don't know normal growth patterns for these things.

It is normal for them to do it. Some will re-bud and bloom, some will not re-bud until next spring, some will die completely and you won't have that plant any more. Which ones do what, I don't know. I know maples will re-bud and produce flowers. That's the only one i know for sure.
